Water Bottle Fill Stations

To promote tap water while reducing plastic waste, Rancho Water has been installing water bottle fill stations throughout our community. Water bottle fill stations are similar to drinking fountains but include an overhead filling system allowing people to easily fill reusable water bottles. The fill stations count the number of times a water bottle is filled, which gives people an idea of how many plastic bottles are not going into the landfill.

According to TheWaterProject.org, "Every year, over $100 billion dollars is spent on bottled water world-wide and it takes over 1.5 million barrels of oil to meet the demand of U.S. water bottle manufacturing." Rancho Water provides high quality tap water to its residents at an affordable price. Refilling a reusable water bottle multiple times each day is much less expensive than constantly buying plastic bottled water.
