NOTICE OF VIRTUAL PUBLIC HEARING 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on: 

Thursday, June 9, 2022 

at 8:30 AM 


the Board of Directors (Board) of the Rancho California Water District will hold a public hearing to consider adopting a budget and various fees and charges for fiscal year 2022-2023.  In accordance with Section 54953 of the Government Code [AB 361], the Board adopted Resolution No. 2022-5-2, finding that in the interest of public health and safety during the Governor’s proclaimed State of Emergency, the Board will continue to meet by teleconference. During teleconference meetings, the District will not be making any physical location available for members of the public to observe the meeting or offer in-person public comment. Alternative ways for members of the public to participate in the teleconference meeting are identified below.

Operating & Non-Operating Budgets

Rancho California Water District's Finance Department completes an annual operating and non-operating budget document each fiscal year. It is presented to and adopted by the Board of Directors typically the second board meeting in June. The fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30 each year.

Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports

Rancho California Water District's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) has earned the prestigious Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in each year a CAFR was prepared. This award recognizes governments whose CAFRs achieve the highest standards in government accounting and financial reporting. In order to be awarded a Certificate of Achievement, a government must publish an easily readable and efficiently organized CAFR. This report must satisfy both generally accepted accounting principles and applicable legal requirements.
